Open the Eyes of my Heart Lord

Open the eyes of my heart Lord

Open the eyes of my Heart

I want to see you

I want to see you

To see you high and lifted up

Shining in the light of your glory

Pour out your power and love

As we sing

Holy, Holy, Holy

Holy, Holy, Holy

Holy, Holy, Holy

I want to see you

Have you ever seen Christ?  Really just stared in His eyes?   Sometimes He reveals Himself in the ways we would never expect.

He revealed Himself in our new friend, sister Dee.  Sister Dee was parking in her 1971 Ford motorhome at truck stop just north of Palm Springs.  She was stranded in need of help, she described herself as homeless, disabled, and looking for someone to help her get her home started.  But what she said next revealed the power of Jesus Christ.  She proclaimed with bible in hand that she loved Christ & He has taken care of her for seven years while she has lived on the road.

At that moment Christ looked me right in the eyes and poured out His power and love through Dee.   So Rob took a look at the engine and figured it out to be the battery.

As we were saying our good-byes we prayed together and made sure she was going to be ok till her next stop.

But to be honest with you as I hopped back in our truck and we drove away I began to cry.  Sister Dee was in that very place at that very second for me.  I was the one who needed His love through her.

I was so blessed by sister Dee, and what is so great is that she texted me yesterday letting us know she was praying for our family  and letting us know that Christ was with her always.

LIVING FOR JESUS

Living for Jesus a Life that is True
Consecration-Living for the Lord

Living for Jesus a life that is true, Striving to please Him in all that I do;

Yielding allegiance, glad hearted and free,  this is the path way of blessing for me.  Jesus Lord and

Savior, I give my self to Thee, for in thy a atonement, didst give thy self for me;

I own no other master, my heart shall be thy throne, my life I give, hence forth to live, O Christ for

thee alone.

Living for Jesus who died in my place, Bearing on Calv'ry my sin and disgrace; Such love

constrains me to answer His call,  Follow His leading and give Him my all,

Living for Jesus wherever I am, Doing each duty in His holy name;  Willing to suffer affliction and

loss,  Deeming each trail a part of my cross.

Living for Jesus though earth's little while, dearest treasure, the light of His smile;  Seeking the lost

ones He died to redeem, Bringing the weary to find rest in Him.

Following The Poop Truck

Hi everybody!  If you didn't know, the Lord placed us back in the SCV at the Valencia RV Park on  hwy 126.  We are planning on staying here for awhile till school gets out and to "love" our neighbors around us.

So Rob & I  were praying on a topic for this blog, and we looked out our trailer window and the boys began to yell, "There is the poop truck"  we automatically began to laugh!  What is the fascination with poop with boys?  HAHAHA!  That topic is for another time.

The boys  began to tell their story of how they follow this truck around the RV Park on their bikes.  They said the poop truck stops at residence who don't have full hook-ups and it pumps the "black water" (poop) from their RVs.

Now, your probably thinking; "How does this tale glorify our Savior?"  Well, let me finish.  The boys continued and said when the truck stops and does it's business, they talk to the driver  about poop the ministry our family is doing.

At first I was "GROSS. STAY AWAY FROM IT!!!" Then the Lord placed on my heart that their heart was for the Lord, who cares about how they were doing it.  Jesus Christ took on our "poop" and continues to listen to our "falleness." everyday Thank you Abba!

Matthew 19:14 Jesus says, "Let the little children come to me and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these."

Perfect words always, so much of the time our hardened adult hearts get in the way of our kids.  Kids don't have hang ups like adults.  We place our insecurities on them.  So lets walk away today with this verse; "Truly I tell you, unless you change and become like little children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven." Matthew 18:3 NIV

Here we are July 2013 at the Grand Canyon

So until next time, stay grounded in His Word and look to your children for child like faith.

Complainer!

Hi friends!  As I reflect on the past few weeks, moving into our trailer, learning about change, being patient with my husband & children.  Being humble when things are breaking in our home (trailer).

The Lord  reminded me of the Israelites as Moses took them out of Egypt and into the promised land.

They (Israelites) became bitter and unsatisfied (grumbling).  The Lord was preparing His people for something greater.

The people complained and yearned for the days in Egypt,  despite the continual evidence of God's love & power towards them.

That is how I have been feeling.  What have we gotten ourselves into!  We, or I should say I! Am yearning to go back to the comfortable life of a real house, with running water & toilet that you never have to worry about.

Grumbling, that is what I have been doing.  Just like the Israelites.  The Lord told us to move & glorify Him in our journey, and I am grumbling.  I am being stretched more now in my life than ever.

Forgive me Father, for you know the best for our family.  Forgive my grumbling heart.  Give me the strength only You can provide to push ahead every moment to do Your Kingdom's work.

In Isaiah 41:13 as He spoke to the Israelites, I am comforted by His words:

For I, the Lord your God, hold your  right hand; It is I who say to you, "Fear not, I am the one who helps you."

Praise You Lord, for every step I make is to Glorify You.

Till next month, continue to get into His mighty word & seek Him daily for all He has for you in your life to serve Him.  Trust Him that He knows the direction He wants to take you in your life.

Just Beginning!

If you have ever moved, you know it can be very challenging.  Moving from a large place to a smaller space we have done.  Now again, the Lord is challenging us to simplify even more and moving our family into 28

ft 5th wheel trailer and I am telling you, lots of prayers and speaking to the Lord has been a priority the past two days.

We have fit or tried to fit a closet full of clothes & "STUFF" into a tiny space in our trailer.  Amanda is frustrated & I keep calming her down by telling her, "If it doesn't fit we can just donate it honey."

She keeps telling me we are trying to fit a size 18 girl into a size 5 dress.  I thinks it is funny in a weird way.

Which  leads me to a verse about "treasures"  As humans we like to feel our treasures are right here.  In our possession, we can see, feel, taste & buy all the comforts of this world.  But as Followers of Christ where is our heart?  Here on earth or in heaven?

Christ does not want us to store up "stuff"  He wants to empty us so we can be more filled with Him.

But store up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where moths and vermin do not destroy, and where thieves do not break in and steal.  Matthew 6:20

We are being emptied of our stuff to be filled more of Him!

Thank you Lord for challenging us and putting us out of our comfort zone to better serve you in you Kingdom.

Till next time, allow an open heart for the Lord to work in your life for His Glory.

"Here I am Lord"

If you know me, I am a man who does not like social media.  No Face Book, no Instagram and especially blogging.

But, my family and I are beginning a new journey, a journey of simplicity, a journey of discovery and a journey  of  obedience to our Lord and Savior.

I have always said, "Here I am Lord"  I have always been available to do the work of the Lord.  Well, about two months ago a process only He knows began a work in me and my family.  A work on my heart as the leader of our home.

He has called us to leave our comforts of a home that is grounded (literally).  He has spoken words through Godly friends to open our eyes to His bigger Kingdom.

So with faith, we began putting one foot in front of the other in a journey to bring the Good News to all nations Matthew 28:18-20

This blog is to Glorify all of what He is and what He is doing in our lives.

So stay tuned and read in awe of His Glorious works.
